Program and Activity Questions
Q: What is Aloha Beach Camp?
Aloha Beach Camp is an aquatic-themed summer day camp for kids and teens. We offer two age-appropriate programs under the Aloha Beach Camp name. Our
"Keiki Camp" is exclusively for younger kids ages 4 through 7. Our
"High Action Camp" is for older campers 8 to 15.
Q: What is the difference between the Keiki and High Action Camps?
Keiki Camp is located at Paradise Cove, Malibu and designed exclusively for younger children ages 4 through 7. The goal of this program is to help younger kids feel safe and comfortable at the beach and in the ocean. The High Action program is for older kids and teens ages 8 to 15 and takes place at Zuma Beach in Malibu, Castaic Lake and Hurricane Harbor among other aquatic sites on a rotating basis. This program is the # 1 solution for older kids who love the beach and who have outgrown the typical day camp scene. Although the Keiki Camp and High Action Camps are different, they they both offer safe, fun and instructional aquatic activities with convenient day-by-day enrollment, free transportation to and from camp, top-notch staff and equipment, low camper-to-counselor ratios, impeccable safety records, American Camp Association Accreditation and a no-questions-asked, 100% money-back guarantee.
Q: Where is the camp located?
Keiki Camp takes place at Paradise Cove, Malibu -- a safe and private beach with gentle surf and clean water that's just perfect for younger kids. The High Action program takes place at Zuma Beach, Malibu, Castaic Lake and Hurricane Harbor (among others aquatic venues) on a rotating basis.

Q: Does my child need previous experience to participate?
Absolutely not! All of our activities are instructional and presented at your child's most effective pace. Some of our campers are experiencing the beach and ocean environment for the first time, while others are more experienced. Aloha Beach Camp is structured to accommodate campers from every aquatic background so your child will be safe and have fun no matter what!
Q: Is it safe?
This is an important question and one we get often. We’re sensitive to your concern and impose strict safety measures to keep your child safe. Our equipment is top-of-the-line, our staff is thoroughly trained and we impose strict safety rules that virtually eliminate risk where it can be eliminated. Accordingly, you’ll be pleased to know that any risks you can think of are more perceived than actual. One thing we hope you won’t do is deny your child a fantastic beach camp experience because you may have a misconception or misperception it might not be as safe a traditional camp. The truth is, there’s not another camp anywhere where your child will be safer than they will with us, and our 100% safety record proves it. In fact, there's a saying we picked up from some old sailing buddies that we use as our underlying philosophy: “If it's not safe, we're not going to do it, and if it's not fun, we're not going to do it for very long.” In any event we welcome your calls and
emails to discuss safety in more detail. We’re looking forward to hearing from you.
Enrollment and Tuition Questions
Q: What is "day-by-day enrollment?"
Day-by-day enrollment gives you complete flexibility in planning for camp. Now you can take control of your own camp schedule by sending your child to camp on a flexible day-by-day basis whenever you want, with no need to conform to rigid prearranged session schedules like you do at other camps. There's a 5-day minimum enrollment commitment, but they can be any days you want so you can truly customize your own schedule. You tell us when you're coming to camp, NOT the other way around!
Q: What if we can't meet the 5-day minimum?
Campers who attend at least 5 days will gain the most from the camp experience. But if you can't sign up for at least 5 days, please
let us know because we still may be able to accommodate you.
Q: How much does it cost? What’s included?
Tuition ranges between $92 and $98 per day depending when you register. The lower rates are available with Early Bird Discounts and longer enrollments. Your tuition includes daily transportation plus the program(s) and activities you've enrolled for. There is an additional $50 registration fee per camper which includes one camp t-shirt, one rash guard and a goodie bag from Billabong, our sponsor. We also highly advice you to purchase the money-saving Enrollment Protection Plan for only $50 more so you can avoid costly enrollment change fees. The Enrollment Protection Plan allows you to make FREE unlimited changes to your child's schedule all summer, otherwise any changes you make will cost $35 each so this plan pays for itself immediately. If you want to purchase the Enrollment Protection Plan, please check the appropriate box on your
enrollment form.
Q: What’s the Enrollment Protection Plan?
or just $50, the Enrollment Protection Plan lets you make free unlimited changes to your child's schedule all summer. You can change a day here for a day there, switch this week for that, etc. If you don't pick the Enrollment Protection Plan, every change you make will cost $35. It's a great bargin because it pays for itself immediately.
Q: Do you offer any discounts
Q: How do we sign up?
You can use our
secure online registration form to sign up for camp. It's easy and only takes a few minutes. As soon as we get your form, we'll contact you with a confirmation.
Transportation Questions
Q: Do you provide transportation?
Yes. Daily transportation, on safety-equipped, fully insured buses and vans, is provided from your area. To ensure short rides and reliable schedules, we use convenient meeting points. Driving duties are typically handled by professional school bus drivers, and sometimes Aloha Beach Camp counselors. Each vehicle usually has at least one additional staff member on board for added safety and supervision.
Q: Do the buses have seatbelts?
Yes. All Aloha Beach Camp vehicles are equipped with seatbelts which are required to be worn by all passengers at all times.
Q: Where do we meet the bus?
The general transportation service area is bounded by Porter Ranch/Granada Hills to the North; Wilshire Blvd. to the South; Studio City/Toluca Lake to the East; and Calabasas/Agoura to the West. We also have pick-up points in Brentwood, the Pacific Palisades, and Malibu. You will choose your exact meeting point on your enrollment form when you sign up for camp.
